Katharina, ... freelance translator and editor since 2015. I have edited and translated a wide variety of texts and genres, but I have primarily specialized in academic and technical texts throughout my career.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Language, Culture, and Translation, and a master’s degree in Technical Communication and Localization, which form the basis of my qualifications. In the coming years, I will have the opportunity to further my academic education by pursuing a Ph.D. in specialized communication.
Additionally, I am a certified English translator in the Free State of Bavaria, and I have earned the Technical Communicator Professional Level certification from Tekom.
My language proficiency levels are certified as follows, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: German: C2; English: C1; French: C1.
I have spent many months in countries such as France and New Zealand, which have allowed me to build on my intercultural and linguistic skills through practical experience. Thanks to my ten years of work experience and ongoing academic training, I have in-depth, proven expertise that enables me to provide dedicated support for your writing projects.
As a specialist in scientific and technical texts, I offer a deep understanding of complex content. I complement my decade of cross-genre editing and translation experience with a strong academic background.
